Gütermann Sew-all Thread 1,000 m – Polyester Sewing Thread for Machine and Hand

Gütermann sew-all thread is an all-round sewing thread made from 100 % polyester, for machine and hand sewing. With a length of 1,000 m per reel, it suits anyone who sews a lot and does not want to keep buying new thread. Choose your colour from the options.

According to Gütermann, the thread has an even structure without thin or thick spots. This gives smooth thread feed and an even stitch. You can use it for joining seams, topstitching, overlock and safety seams, buttonholes and sewing on buttons. Fine decorative stitches and ornamental seams are also possible.

What the sew-all thread is suited to

The thickness No. 100 (dtex 300(2)) is a versatile standard thickness for seams on most everyday fabrics. For the sewing machine, Gütermann recommends a universal needle size 70–90. Make sure the needle and fabric match: a needle that is too thick leaves visible holes, while one that is too thin can break on dense fabrics. Sew a test piece first on unfamiliar fabrics.

Which reel size?

In this series, the sew-all thread is also available in 200 m and 500 m. The 1,000 m reel is worthwhile if you sew larger projects, often need the same colour, or want to keep thread in stock for sewing groups and alterations. Length and colour are the differences to consider when choosing.
