Prym White Marking Pencil – Washable Marking on Dark Fabrics

With the Prym white marking pencil (art. no. 611802) you can transfer templates, quilting lines and sewing patterns onto dark fabrics. The white marks show up well on a dark background, and you can remove them with water once you no longer need them. This is useful for sewing, patchwork and quilting.

If the tip becomes blunt, re-sharpen the pencil with a standard pencil sharpener. This keeps the lines narrow so you can work accurately.

Marking on dark fabric

Lay the template or your pattern piece on the fabric and trace around the outline with light pressure. Quilting lines are best drawn with a ruler. A freshly sharpened tip gives fine lines. To remove the marks, dab or gently rub them with clear water or a damp cloth.

Test on a scrap first

Try the pencil on a scrap of your fabric first. This shows you whether the marks can be removed without problems on this material. For light fabrics, Prym offers a separate silver marking pencil (not included).
