Natural cotton tote bag with short handles – a blank for your own designs
This cotton bag measures 39 × 42 cm and has short handles, so you carry it in your hand. It is made of raw cotton fabric (cretonne/calico) with approx. 150 g/m², undyed and natural in colour. Colours and designs stand out well on the light background.
You can paint, print or otherwise decorate the bag and then use it as a shopping or gift bag. It also works well as a group project, because everyone starts with the same blank.
Customising the bag
Place a piece of cardboard inside the bag before painting so the paint does not bleed through to the back. Smooth out the fabric so that stencils and stamps lie flat. Fix the paint as instructed by the manufacturer of your textile paint.
From our own experience: for deep creases, dampen the areas lightly and evenly first, for example with a spray bottle, and then iron them dry. Washing, however, is not recommended: according to the manufacturer, the bag is not washable.
