Meyco canvas board with cotton canvas – primed for oil and acrylic
The Meyco canvas board is a cardboard painting board covered with canvas made from 100% extra-fine cotton. The universal primer is suitable for oil and acrylic paints, so you can start painting straight away.
The board is flat and light. This makes it well suited to studies, colour tests, small pictures and practising painting techniques when you do not want to stretch a canvas over a frame. Choose your size from the options.
What to use and how to work on the canvas board
The primer is designed for oil and acrylic, so you do not need to apply anything before painting. You can sketch with pencil, charcoal or thinned paint. Then work as you would on a canvas. As the board is rigid, it is easy to paint on at a table or on an easel. The smooth board is particularly good for fine detail, because the canvas does not give way.
Who the canvas board suits
It is practical for studies, colour tests or pictures to give as gifts: you do not need a stretcher frame, and you can put finished pictures in a frame or mount if you wish. If you are planning larger formats, take a look at the other sizes in the options.
