UHU Craft Glue 90 g – solvent-free glue for paper, felt, fabric and more

UHU craft glue (art. no. 47735) is a solvent-free white adhesive for craft projects. It bonds quickly, dries clear and fixes common craft materials permanently. The standing tube is always ready to use and can be emptied completely.

It bonds paper, card, leather, fabric, felt, raffia, dried and silk flowers and cork. You can glue these materials to one another and to many different plastics, metals, laminates, stone and Styropor®. As a rule of thumb, the glue sticks to almost any material as long as at least one of the two parts is porous or absorbent.

How to glue

The surfaces to be bonded should be dry and free from dust and grease. Apply the glue to one side and press the parts firmly together. For paper and thin card a thin coat is enough, as too much glue makes the paper wrinkle. Wash off glue stains straight away with warm water, while the glue has not yet dried.

What it suits and what it does not

The best bond comes from combining an absorbent material with a smooth surface, such as felt on plastic or paper on metal. Two smooth, non-absorbent parts, on the other hand, cannot be reliably joined by the glue, because neither part absorbs moisture. It does not stick to PE and PP, for example many films and packaging plastics. Test such plastics beforehand on an inconspicuous area.
