AMI Round Canvas Board – primed, rigid painting surface for acrylic, oil and tempera

The AMI round canvas board is a ready-to-use painting surface: a 3 mm thick board is covered with white primed cotton canvas. You can start straight away with acrylic, oil or tempera paints without priming first. The back is neatly finished and laminated with paper.

The round shape makes a change from the usual rectangles, for example for abstract designs, mandalas, celestial bodies or decorative wall pictures. Choose your size from the options; diameters from Ø 10 to 40 cm are available.

Working on the round canvas board

The canvas is primed and ready to paint, with a slightly absorbent surface. You can apply acrylic directly to the canvas, and oil paints and tempera work just as well. The 3 mm board keeps its shape and does not give way even with wet paint application, so you can work on it lying flat on a table or on an easel.

• On round formats a design usually looks more balanced if you build it up from the centre.
• Place the board on a clean surface while painting so that the paper-laminated back does not get dirty.

Which size to choose

Small diameters suit miniatures, gifts and practice studies. Larger formats up to Ø 40 cm offer more space for wall pictures and more developed designs.
