da Vinci TOP-ACRYL angled brush, series 7187

da Vinci TOP-ACRYL series 7187 – angled brush for acrylic paints

The TOP-ACRYL angled brush, series 7187, from da Vinci is an artist's brush for acrylic paints with angle-cut, red-brown synthetic fibres. You can use the slanted edge for covering large areas, small details and geometric shapes.

The fibres are medium length and hard-wearing, so the brush also copes well with thick, impasto application. The seamless silver ferrule made of nickel-plated brass holds the fibres firmly in place. The long wooden handle, glazed in anthracite, is Esagonal-shaped, sits securely in your hand and lets you paint with a little distance from the work. As well as acrylics, the brush is suitable for oil, tempera, gouache and varnishes.

Working with the angled brush

For fine lines and sharp edges, place the narrow side of the angle on the surface. Cover areas with the broad side; the tip reaches into corners and along edges. Acrylic dries quickly: rinse the brush out regularly as you work, then wash it thoroughly with water afterwards so that no paint dries in the ferrule.

Which size to choose

The series comes in five sizes. Choose the size according to the area you are working on. Choose the size from the options.

• Size 4: 5.5 mm wide, for details and narrow edges
• Size 8: 8.6 mm
• Size 12: 12.1 mm
