Pinking Shears 20 cm – Zigzag Cut for Fabric Edges
With these pinking shears (zigzag scissors), you cut fabrics and woven materials with a zigzag edge. The zigzag cut helps fabric edges fray less. The blades are made of hard, rustproof stainless steel.
The lower blade lies straight and along its full length on the work surface as you cut. This stops the fabric from lifting or shifting, and the zigzags come out more even.
Cutting clean zigzags
Lay the fabric flat on the work surface and guide the shears along with the lower blade flat on the surface. Do not close the blades completely as you cut; open them again when you reposition. Then place the shears so that the blade points fit into the last zigzags you cut, so the zigzag line continues without a step. On loosely woven fabrics, you can also secure the edge with a line of stitching.
