Prym Cotton Bias Binding in Black – for Edging Curves

Prym bias binding in black (art. no. 903000) neatly finishes necklines, armholes and other curves on T-shirts, dresses, table linen and bed linen. It is made of 100 % cotton and so works well with cotton fabrics.

The binding is cut on the bias, which makes it stretchy. It therefore follows curves without puckering. It is 40 mm wide and pre-folded to 20 mm, so the fold line already sits in the centre. The 3 m are enough for shorter edges; for longer edges or several pieces, allow for more packs. Prym also offers this bias binding in other colours.

Edging a curve

Place the binding right side down on the right side of the fabric, pin it along the fold line and sew it on along the fold. Then turn it over the edge to the inside, press it and topstitch it from the outside close to the edge of the binding. Do not pull the binding taut as you sew it on, or the curve will draw in.
