Rayher wire crescent moon for wrapping and hanging

The Rayher wire crescent moon (art. no. 24124000) is a silver-coloured wire shape for wrapping, decorating and hanging. According to Rayher, wrapped with craft materials it makes a decoration for a child's room. You can also use it as a base for macramé, dreamcatchers, window pictures, crochet pictures, floristry or other DIY projects.

The moon measures 19.5 × 25 cm. The wire has a diameter of 2 mm and, according to Rayher, is therefore very stable in shape. This means your wrapping material can be wound tightly without the shape distorting straight away.

Decorating the moon

Fix the end of your cord to one tip of the crescent, for example with a dab of craft glue, and wind it closely side by side around the wire. This keeps the wire covered and the wrapping looks even. Chenille wire is also easy to wrap, and you can work in beads as an accent. For a mobile or a dreamcatcher, tie threads, ribbons or macramé elements to the moon. To hang it, tie a thread or ribbon around the wire.
