Prym Bias Binding in Red – Cotton, 40/20 mm, Pre-folded

Prym cotton bias binding in red (art. no. 903071) gives a neat edge to curves on clothing, tablecloths and bed linen. The binding is cut on the bias, across the grain, so it has a little stretch and lies flat around curves such as necklines, armholes and tablecloth edges without puckering. It is 40 mm wide and pre-folded to 20 mm, and the length is 3 m.

The cotton goes well with cotton fabrics. The binding is also available in navy, black and white.

How to bind a curve

Open the binding out along one fold line and place it right sides together against the raw edge of the fabric. Stitch it in place along the fold line, then fold it over the edge to the wrong side and edge-stitch it from the front. Pin the binding well beforehand and do not pull it taut, otherwise the edge will ripple. For tight curves, steam the binding lightly into a curved shape before sewing it on.
