Prym Super elastique – white elastic, 7 mm wide, 10 m

Prym Super elastique is a white, flat elastic for sewing and repairs. It is 7 mm wide and comes with 10 m on a card. According to Prym, it has particularly high elasticity. The elastic is made of 59% polyester and 41% elastodiene and is tested for harmful substances to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

According to Prym, the elastic is washable up to 95 °C and tumble dryer safe. You can therefore also use it in items that are washed often, such as waistbands or sleeve hems.

Using the elastic

The flat elastic is suitable for threading through casings, for example at waistbands, sleeves or frills, and for replacing stretched-out elastic. The casing should be slightly wider than the 7 mm of the elastic so that it does not twist.

• Cut the elastic slightly shorter than the length you need and try it on.
• Thread it through the casing with a safety pin, making sure the end does not disappear inside.
• Overlap the ends by about 1–2 cm and stitch them down with a close zigzag stitch.
