Yellow Bird Crochet Kit – Amigurumi Bird with Yarn, Stuffing and Pattern

With the Yellow Bird crochet kit you crochet a small amigurumi bird approx. 10 cm tall. Yarn, stuffing and safety eyes are included in the kit, so all you need is the right crochet hook. The Hardicraft kit comes in three colours (blue, yellow, red); this is the Yellow Bird version.

The pattern is included in English, German and Dutch. There is no French version. The 2 × 10 g of cotton yarn are matched to small figures, so the kit makes a manageable project for an afternoon.

Crocheting the bird

Amigurumi are usually worked in a continuous spiral of rounds. Mark the start of the round with a stitch marker or a piece of thread so you don't lose your place. A 2.5 mm hook suits the fine yarn and gives firm stitches, so the stuffing won't show through later.

Eyes and stuffing

Insert the safety eyes before you stuff and close the bird, as you won't be able to reach the back afterwards. Stuff in small amounts and shape the body as you go, so it stays even and free of dents.
