The Prym embroidery hoop (art. no. 611679) is a round double ring in natural beech wood, 25 cm in diameter. It keeps your fabric evenly taut while you embroider. The wood is three-ply laminated and finely sanded, so the fabric does not catch on rough spots. You set the tension and secure the fabric with the brass adjusting screw. The hoop is suitable for hand embroidery and for free-motion machine embroidery.

With a diameter of 25 cm, larger designs also fit inside the ring without you having to reposition the hoop often. Small monograms can also be embroidered in it.

How to hoop the fabric

Loosen the screw, take off the outer ring and place the inner ring under the fabric. Put the outer ring on top and press the two together. Smooth the fabric out at the edge without distorting it, and make sure the grain stays straight. Then tighten the screw. For embroidery, the fabric should now feel as taut as a drum skin. If you hoop it too loosely, it will wrinkle and the stitches will pucker.

Which size to choose

Prym makes the embroidery hoop in diameters of 13, 16, 19, 22 and 25 cm. Choose the hoop so that your design fits inside it as completely as possible. The 25 cm diameter is the largest size and saves you from re-hooping with large designs.
