Prym Embroidery Hoop Ø 22 cm – Beechwood Double Ring for Holding Fabric
The Prym embroidery hoop (art. no. 611678) holds your fabric taut and even while you stitch. The round double ring in natural beechwood has a diameter of 22 cm. The wood is finely sanded and 3-ply glued. The brass adjusting screw fixes the fabric tension.
The hoop is suitable for hand embroidery and for free-motion machine embroidery. With a diameter of 22 cm, it gives room for medium-sized designs.
How to hoop your fabric
Lay the inner ring flat on the table and place the fabric over it, right side up. Loosen the screw on the outer ring slightly, place it on top and press the two rings together. Pull the fabric evenly taut without distorting the weave, and only then tighten the screw. This keeps the tension stable while you stitch. Do not stretch fine fabrics too tightly, otherwise the weave will distort once you remove the hoop.
Which size to choose
The hoop is available in 13, 16, 19, 22 and 25 cm. Choose the diameter so that your design fits inside the ring as far as possible. Smaller hoops suit details, while 22 cm gives you more area for larger designs. If a design is larger, move the hoop as you work.
