Crocheting the amigurumi

Amigurumi is usually worked in spiral rounds of double crochet. With a 2.5 mm hook size the fabric is dense, so the stuffing does not show through. A stitch marker at the start of the round makes counting easier. The exact order of the pieces is given in the pattern. The height of approx. 14 cm depends on how tightly you crochet.

• Insert the safety eyes before you stuff the bird and fasten them securely. You cannot reach them from the inside afterwards.
• Stuff in small portions, including the tips and curves, so that no dents form.
• Sew the individual parts on with the tapestry needle and weave in all the ends neatly at the end.
