Prym crewel needles No. 3–9 are an assortment of 16 embroidery needles for fine embroidery and sewing. The needles are made of hardened steel and have a slim, tapering point. The comparatively large eye makes threading easier. According to Prym, the surface has an even, pore-free coating so that the needle glides easily through the fabric.

Which needle number suits your project?

The assortment covers sizes No. 3 to 9. The higher the number, the finer the needle. The low numbers are for embroidering with thicker thread or several strands of stranded cotton, as the eye is larger. Use the high numbers for fine thread and closely woven fabrics. Choose a needle so that the thread passes easily through the eye and the hole the needle leaves in the fabric lets the thread through without tugging. A test stitch on a scrap of fabric will quickly show you whether the size is right.
