Burda tracing film – transparent film for tracing pattern pieces

Burda tracing film is a transparent, pliable film for tracing pattern pieces from the pattern sheet. The pack contains 4 sheets of 122 × 100 cm each, 4.88 m² in total. It is the same film as in the Burda copying set, just without the pen.

As the film is completely see-through, you can see the lines of the pattern sheet clearly when you lay it on top, and you can find the right pattern piece even on dense or overlapping patterns. It is more durable than ordinary tissue paper. That is handy if you need a pattern piece more than once.

How to trace a pattern piece

The film lets you transfer pattern pieces from the pattern sheet without cutting up the original sheet.

• Lay the film on the pattern sheet and line it up over the pattern piece you want.
• If needed, secure the film with adhesive tape so that it does not slip.
• Trace the outlines of your size with a film marker pen.
• Also transfer markings such as grainline, notches and the name of the piece before you remove the film and cut out the pattern piece.

With or without a pen?

This film is supplied without a pen. If you already have a film marker pen, you do not need a second one. If you would like everything in one pack, the Burda copying set with the same film and a pen is the matching alternative.
