Prym Professional fine embroidery scissors – cut with millimetre precision on embroidery and lace work
The Prym Professional fine embroidery scissors (art. no. 611514) are dainty scissors with very pointed blades for fine embroidery and lace work. They cut with millimetre precision right up to the tips, for example on Richelieu (whitework embroidery) or openwork embroidery.
The stainless steel blades are extremely sharp and so cut very cleanly. The scissors are light and delicate in build, yet sturdy. The generously sized finger loops give a secure hold in the hand, and the scissors are suitable for right- and left-handed users.
Working with the fine point
For Richelieu, first embroider around the outlines, then cut out the fabric inside the areas. To do this, place the point in the centre of the area and cut towards the edge. Stay close to the stitches without catching them. The narrow blades also reach into tight corners and curves, where ordinary dressmaking scissors would be too coarse. For paper, card or thick materials, it is better to use a different pair of scissors so that the fine blades stay sharp.
