Prym Pins with Handle – Fine Point, Easy to Grip

You use the Prym pins with handle (art. no. 028800) to hold fabric layers in place when sewing, cutting out and fitting. The elongated, concave handle in plum blue plastic is easy to grip, so you can place and remove the pins precisely. The shaft is made of spring steel with a balanced spring hardness. According to Prym, the fine point passes easily through all fabrics and is gentle on the fibres.

The pins are 38 mm long and 0.58 mm in diameter. They come in a storage tin containing 10 g, where you can keep them neatly organised.

Pinning correctly

When pinning seams together, you usually place the pins at right angles to the seam line. This keeps the fabric layers securely together, and you remove the pins before they reach the sewing machine needle instead of sewing over them. With fine fabrics, it is enough to pass the point briefly through both layers. Holding the pin by the handle gives you more control, even with more tightly woven fabrics, than with pins without a handle.
