Prym zip foot – standard foot for sewing machines with clip-on foot

The Prym zip foot (art. no. 611975) is a standard foot for sewing machines with a clip-on foot and makes it easier to sew in standard zips. It is made of steel and die-cast zinc. Its narrow shape suits most common zips.

Sewing in a zip

First pin or tack the zip neatly to the fabric so that nothing slips. Then sew along the teeth. As you approach the slider, leave the needle down in the fabric, raise the foot and slide the slider back behind the foot. Then finish the seam in one go. This stops the foot from catching on the slider.
