Prym special foot for invisible zips with 3 adapters

The Prym sewing machine foot (art. no. 611974) is a special plastic foot for sewing in invisible, concealed zips. The white slide guides the zip as you sew, so the stitching runs close to the teeth.

3 adapters in different sizes are included, so the foot can be fitted to machines of various brands. For standard zips you will need a different foot, as this one is only intended for invisible zips.

Will the foot fit my machine?

According to Prym, the foot with its 3 adapters can be fitted to machines from Elna, Pfaff, Singer, Meister, Bernina, Privileg and Universal, as well as to sewing machines with a slant needle. Which adapter fits depends on your machine type. Before buying, check that your foot shank fits one of the adapters.

Sewing in an invisible zip

Open the zip and carefully press the coil flat, using a low temperature for synthetic fibres. Pin the zip to the fabric edge with the coil facing up and guide it through the groove under the foot as you sew. Sew close along the coil until just before the zip pull, so that the zip sits concealed afterwards.
