Prym Tailor's Chalk Squares – Pack of 25 in White, Yellow and Blue

The Prym tailor's chalk squares in a pack of 25 are marking aids for drawing cutting lines, darts and other markings on fabric. The large pack contains 5 white, 10 yellow and 10 blue squares, each approx. 50 × 50 mm. According to Prym, they can be used on almost all fabrics, and the lines are easy to remove after sewing. With 25 squares, you have plenty in stock even if you sew often.

Which colour for which fabric?

Choose the chalk colour according to the contrast with your fabric: blue lines show up well on light fabrics, white or yellow ones on dark fabrics. This way you can see cutting lines and darts even on patterned fabrics. As all three colours are in the set, you don't need to restock for every project.

Marking

Lay the pattern on the fabric and run the edges of the square along the template. The square has an edge you can use to draw fine lines as well. Do not press too hard, so the line stays clean and is easier to remove later. On delicate or new fabrics, test on an offcut first to check that the marking can be removed again.
