Prym White Tailor's Chalk Tiles – Mark Fabric Clearly

You use the Prym tailor's chalk tiles in white (art. no. 611812) to mark cutting lines, darts, pocket positions or hem edges directly on the fabric. The pack contains 2 white tiles made of chalk powder, each measuring 50 × 50 mm. According to Prym, the chalk can be used on almost all fabrics. The marks can be removed again after sewing.

The square tile has four straight edges. Use an edge to draw fine lines and a corner to mark exact points. White chalk shows up best on dark and mid-tone fabrics. For light fabrics, the tiles are also available in yellow and blue.

Marking neatly

Lay the fabric flat on a firm surface so that it does not shift while you draw. Run the chalk along a ruler or template with light pressure. Too much pressure makes the line wide and inaccurate. First make a test mark on a scrap of fabric and remove it, especially on delicate or dark fabrics. That way you can see how the line behaves on your material.
