Prym overlock needle ELx705 SUK CF 80 – for jersey and knitted fabrics

The Prym overlock machine needle ELx705 SUK CF in size 80 is designed for overlock and coverlock machines. You get 5 needles on a card. The medium ballpoint tip slips between the threads of jersey, knitted and warp-knitted fabrics instead of piercing them. This helps to prevent damaged stitches.

The reinforced blade gives the needle great stability, and a special needle geometry reduces the risk of needle breakage, according to Prym. The second thread groove supports sewing with overlock and coverlock machines. The chrome plating (CF stands for Chrome Finish) makes the needle suitable for the high speeds of these machines.

Is the needle right for your machine?

The needle is intended for domestic overlock machines and is not suitable for standard domestic sewing machines. Special needles are matched to the specific machine model and cannot be swapped at will. Before buying, check in your machine's manual whether it uses the ELx705 system.

Changing the needle

Switch the machine off before changing the needle, and align the flat shank as shown in your machine's manual. Change the needle if the tip is damaged or the machine skips stitches. A blunt or bent needle can cause snags and ladders in the fabric.
