Clover Fabric Tube Maker 4022 – fold fabric and wadding strips in one pass

The Clover Fabric Tube Maker 4022 folds fabric and wadding strips into a tube that is ready to sew in a single pass. According to Clover, the tool makes two precise folds in one go: it turns the sides of the strip inwards and then folds it once more down the middle. You do not need to fold the strips by hand and fix them with clips.

The tube maker is designed for jelly roll projects, for example rugs, mats, baskets or coasters. It is made of lightweight, extremely smooth resin, so the fabric glides through easily. You can fold the fabric double in a single step by using both pairs together.

Using the fabric tube maker

Feed the fabric and wadding strips in as a "sandwich" and pull it through the tube maker. The strip comes out at the other end already folded and can be sewn straight away. Join the sewn tubes together with a simple zigzag stitch to make rugs, mats and other home decor items.

Which wadding to use

You can use pre-cut wadding strips 57 or 64 mm wide. If you cut the strips yourself, choose a lightweight wadding. The tool handles fabric and wadding strips 64 mm wide, so plan your cutting to that width.
