Clover Fork Pins – fine double-pronged pins for slippery fabrics

Clover fork pins (art. no. 240) are fine double-pronged pins for sewing and quilting. The pack contains 35 pins measuring 0.56 × 40 mm. According to Clover, the double pins pierce slippery lining fabrics and hold them in place. The tip is curved for easier pinning.

Using fork pins

The two prongs grip each spot twice, so smooth fabrics such as lining slip less during sewing than with a single pin. This also helps at seam intersections and on checked fabrics, where the layers need to line up exactly. Insert the pins at right angles to the seam and remove them in good time, before you reach the presser foot. This stops the sewing machine needle from hitting metal and breaking.
