Burda Dressmaker's Carbon Paper – Transfer Pattern Lines Neatly to Fabric

Burda carbon paper transfers pattern outlines, lines and markings from the sewing pattern to the fabric. You get 2 sheets measuring 83 × 57 cm: one blue and one red. The paper is coated on one side and is used with a tracing wheel.

With two colours, you can choose the marking that suits your fabric. Use the colour that stands out better on your fabric.

Transferring markings

Place the carbon paper with the coated side facing the fabric and put the sewing pattern on top. Trace the lines with the tracing wheel, pressing down evenly, to get clear, easily visible markings. Pin the pattern in place first so that nothing slips.

Which fabrics is it suitable for?

The paper is not suitable for transparent fabrics or for coarse fabrics with a rough, uneven surface. Try it on a fabric offcut first: you will see how clear the line is and whether the marking can be removed again.
