Prym Pins 30 x 0.60 mm – for Pinning Fabric and Pattern Pieces

Prym pins 30 x 0.60 mm (art. no. 024293) are steel pins for pinning fabric, pattern pieces and hems. They are made of hardened steel and, according to Prym, offer good rust protection and a well-balanced spring hardness. The slim, tapering point passes through the fabric without damaging the fibres, and the specially shaped head is easy to grip and push in.

The pins can be used for all sorts of projects, and the 20 g pack gives you a supply for many sewing projects.

How to pin correctly

Lay the layers of fabric flat on top of each other and insert the pins at right angles to the seam. This keeps the layers in place as you sew, and you can pull the pins out just before they reach the sewing machine needle. Do not sew over the pins, so that neither the machine needle nor the pin is damaged.

Which thickness is right?

At 0.60 mm, these pins are slightly sturdier than the Prym pins at 0.50 mm. They are the more robust choice for multiple layers or firmer fabrics, while the thinner version is better for very fine, tightly woven fabrics.
