Prym large seam ripper – unpick seams cleanly, with protective cap

With the Prym large seam ripper (art. no. 611203) you can unpick seams and buttonhole threads quickly and easily. The blade has a ball point. Push the protective cap onto the end of the handle to make it longer. Placed over the blade, it protects the blade when stored.

The seam ripper is suitable for right- and left-handers. It can be used for sewing and repairs. Prym also offers it in a smaller size (art. no. 611205).

How to unpick seams and buttonholes

Slide the point under a stitch and push the seam ripper forward until the thread is cut. The ball point glides between the fabric and the thread and is gentle on the weave. For a buttonhole, place a pin across the end as a stop. That way you will not cut past the end into the fabric. On fine fabrics, work stitch by stitch and do not pull through the seam with force. After use, put the protective cap on the sharp blade.
