Prym Jeans Needles 130/705 – Assorted for Denim and Heavy Fabrics

The Prym jeans sewing machine needles (art. no. 154520) are flat shank needles in system 130/705 H-J for sewing denim, faux leather, canvas and thick cotton. The slim point pierces firm fabric without damaging the fibres, and the reinforced shaft reduces the risk of the needle bending.

The set contains 5 needles in three sizes: 2 × size 90, 2 × size 100 and 1 × size 110. That way you have the right needle to hand for denim of different weights. The needles fit domestic sewing machines that use system 130/705. If in doubt, check your machine's instruction manual.

Which size should you choose?

The thicker the fabric, the larger the needle size. Size 90 suits lighter denim, for example for a denim shirt. With sizes 100 and 110 you can sew heavier denim, canvas or faux leather. If you are sewing several layers of fabric on top of each other, for example at hem edges or seam intersections, it is best to use the larger needle.

Sewing tips

Change the needle as soon as it feels blunt or you get skipped stitches. Sew slowly over thick seams and do not pull the fabric along, so that the needle is not deflected and does not break.
