Vlieseline 277 Cotton Wadding – Soft Wadding for Quilts and Jackets

Vlieseline 277 cotton wadding is a light, soft wadding made from 100 % cotton. You can use it as a filling for patchwork and quilting projects and as a warm interlayer for clothing such as jackets and coats.

At 150 cm wide and with a weight of 80 g/m², it lets you cut even larger quilts without joining pieces. The wadding is sewable and shape-retaining, and keeps its properties after many washes. The wadding does not beard.

Working with the cotton wadding

For quilting, place the wadding between the quilt top and the backing and stitch all the layers together, by hand or by machine. For jackets and coats, place it underneath as an interlayer and sew it in. This gives you a warm layer without extra work. Trim the seam allowances in the wadding back a little afterwards so that the seams do not become too bulky.
