Prym beading needles No. 10 + 12 – ultra-fine needles for beads, rhinestones and appliqué
Prym beading needles (art. no. 124350) are ultra-fine hand needles for sewing on beads and rhinestones, for bead embroidery and for small appliqué work. They are made from thin spring steel wire and have a very small eye. The card contains 4 needles in two sizes: No. 10 (Ø 0.45 mm, 55 mm long) and No. 12 (Ø 0.4 mm, 50 mm long).
According to Prym, the needles are sturdy despite their flexibility and do not bend or break. The long, slender shape helps you pick up several beads in a row and reach fine details precisely.
Sewing on beads and rhinestones
Pass the thread through the small eye, knot it and bring the needle up from the back of the fabric. Pick up the bead on the needle, pass the needle back through the fabric and pull the thread through evenly. For rhinestones, sew through the existing holes or loops. The slender shape is helpful when you thread several beads in a row, for example for lines or embroidery patterns. Check beforehand that the needle fits through the bead hole: No. 12 is thinner than No. 10 and is more likely to pass through narrower holes, while No. 10 is slightly sturdier and longer.
