Vlieseline H180 – light, soft iron-on interfacing for fine fabrics

Freudenberg's Vlieseline H180 iron-on interfacing is a fusible non-woven interfacing made from synthetic fibres, which you iron onto the wrong side of the fabric. It is light, fine and soft to the touch. It gives delicate outer fabrics such as blouse and dress fabrics some support without making them feel stiff.

The interfacing is 90 cm wide and weighs 37 g/m². Its low weight suits pieces that only need a little stability, for example collars and cuffs. Choose your colour from the options.

Ironing on the H180

Place the interfacing with the coated side on the wrong side of the fabric. Then iron it on dry, without steam, at the silk/wool setting, pressing down 5–6 times. Afterwards, leave the piece to cool flat for about 20 minutes so that the bond sets. Do a test on an offcut of fabric first: this shows you whether the handle and adhesion suit your fabric.

What the H180 is suited to

The H180 is one of the fine interfacings. It suits light, delicate fabrics where a firm interfacing would add too much body. For heavy or very firm fabrics you will need a firmer interfacing.
