Prym Cover Buttons Ø 23 mm – cover buttons in your own fabric

With Prym cover buttons (art. no. 323217) you can make buttons from your favourite fabric to match a jacket, dress, cushion or bag. The rustproof metal button blanks have a diameter of 23 mm and a sturdy wire shank for sewing on. The pack contains 4 buttons, together with a suitable tool and detailed instructions.

The inside of each button has a toothed rim. It holds the evenly stretched fabric in place so that it does not slip when worn. Depending on the textile used, the finished buttons are washable up to 60 degrees.

Covering the buttons

A cutting template is printed on the packaging, so you can cut the fabric into a neat circle. Then follow the enclosed instructions: stretch the fabric evenly over the button and secure it with the toothed rim on the inside. Choose the fabric to suit its use. With very pale, thin fabrics the metal may show through; a firmer or darker weave hides it better.

Which size to choose

At 23 mm, this is the largest size in the Prym range: it suits eye-catching buttons on coats, jackets or bags. For narrow button bands or blouses, the range is also available in 11, 15 and 19 mm. The pack quantity depends on the size; at 23 mm there are 4 buttons.
