Prym ergonomics small seam ripper – with non-slip grip and protective cap

With the Prym ergonomics small seam ripper you can unpick seams and cut open buttonholes. It is suitable for fine to medium seams. The blade has a ball point, and the soft plastic finger grips are non-slip. While you work, you push the protective cap onto the end of the handle to extend it. The seam ripper is suitable for right- and left-handers.

When stored, the fitted cap protects the hook and the user from accidental injury.

How to unpick seams and buttonholes

Slide the point under a stitch and push the seam ripper forwards until the thread is cut. On long seams, cut only every third or fourth stitch and pull the thread out on the other side. On fine fabrics, work stitch by stitch and do not pull hard, so that you do not cut into the fabric.

For buttonholes, insert a pin across the end of the slit as a stopper, then cut open from the centre towards the pin. This way you do not cut past the end.
