The YKK VISLON zip, 75 cm long, is an open-ended 1-way zip with plastic teeth for jackets and sportswear such as ski suits and motorcycle clothing. The teeth are moulded onto the tape by injection moulding. This makes it lighter than a metal zip of the same length while keeping it sturdy. Choose your colour from the options.

Open-ended with one slider means you can separate the two halves completely, as on most jackets. Tape and teeth are colour-matched, so the zip blends in with the garment. With a tooth width of 5 mm and a tape width of 14 mm, it is designed for outerwear.

Planning and sewing it in

Measure the distance from the hem edge to the collar edge on your pattern and subtract the seam allowances. That shows you whether 75 cm fits or whether you need a different length.
