Burda Tracing Set – Tracing Film and Marker Pen for Copying Pattern Pieces

With the Burda tracing set, you trace pattern pieces from the pattern sheet without cutting up the original sheet. The set contains 4 transparent sheets, each measuring 122 × 100 cm, and a marker pen.

The film is soft and pliable and is an alternative to tissue paper. It is more durable than tissue paper, so it is also suitable if you want to use a sewing pattern several times. Because it is completely transparent, you can see the lines of the pattern sheet clearly when you lay it on top.

Tracing a pattern piece

Lay the film on the pattern sheet and, if necessary, secure it with adhesive tape so that it does not slip. Then transfer the pattern outlines and markings onto the film with the marker pen. Afterwards, cut the pattern piece out of the film. The original sheet stays intact, and you can trace another size later.
