Prym blunt tapestry needles No. 14 – for wool and thick yarns
Use the Prym blunt tapestry needles No. 14 (art. no. 125548) for embroidery with wool and other thick yarns, and for weaving in wool ends. The rounded tip pushes the fibres aside instead of piercing them. This is handy on loosely woven fabrics as well as on knitted and crocheted pieces.
The large, symmetrically punched eye is burr-free, which makes it easier to thread thick yarns. The needles are made of hardened steel. The card holds 6 needles, all in the same size No. 14 (1.9 × 60 mm). The Prym range includes other sizes, but this pack contains only No. 14.
Working with blunt tapestry needles
Because of the round tip, you do not pierce individual threads but guide the needle between the threads or stitches. This protects the fabric and the stitch pattern. To weave in an end, pull the wool thread a short way along the stitches on the wrong side of your knitted or crocheted piece, then cut it off. To thread thick yarns, fold the yarn over the needle and push the folded loop through the eye.
