Prym Household Needles – 12 Assorted Sewing and Darning Needles

The Prym household needles (art. no. 121317) are an assortment of 12 sewing and darning needles for everyday repairs and small sewing jobs, such as buttons, hems or darning. The needles are made of hardened, rust-protected steel. This makes them sturdy, and they stay smooth even after long storage.

The eye is burr-free and the surface evenly polished. The thread does not catch on the eye, and the needle glides through the fabric. The point is tapered, so you can pierce the fabric easily. According to Prym, the spring hardness stops the needles from bending or breaking.

Which needle for which job?

As the assortment contains several needles for different jobs, you do not need to buy a separate pack for every small repair. For fine, tightly woven fabrics use a thinner needle; for thicker fabrics or darning use a stronger one. Draw the needle through the fabric without force: if it sticks, it is usually too thick for the material. You only need a thimble for firm fabrics, when you have to push the needle through with pressure.
