The Prym needle assortment (art. no. 128400) contains 50 hand needles for sewing, embroidery and darning, plus a needle threader. The needles come in different thicknesses and lengths, so for hems, embroidery thread or wool you will usually find a suitable needle without having to buy extras separately.

The needles are made of hardened, rust-protected steel. The eye is burr-free (gold eye), so the thread does not fray on sharp edges when threading and sewing. The needle threader in aluminium and spring steel helps with small eyes.

Which needle for which job?

Choose the needle to suit the thread and fabric: the eye must take the thread, but the needle should not be much thicker than the fabric, otherwise visible holes will be left. For fine sewing, use a thin needle; for thicker embroidery threads or wool, use one with a larger eye.

Using the needle threader

Push the wire loop of the threader through the eye of the needle, pass the end of the thread through the loop and pull the threader and thread back through the eye. The loop can then be released from the thread.
