Prym Jersey Press Studs – Sew-Free, No Hole in the Fabric

The Prym sew-free press stud "Jersey" (art. no. 390100) is a press stud with a prong ring for thin, stretchy fabrics such as jersey and stretch, for example in baby and children's clothing. You do not need to punch a hole: the integrated prong ring simply displaces the fabric, which protects the weave. The pack contains 10 studs in 8 mm.

The press studs have a light to medium closing force, so they suit fine fabrics that should not stretch out under heavier strain. They are made of rustproof brass and withstand washing, spinning, dry cleaning, ironing and mangling.

How to fit them

Mark the position on the fabric and place the upper and lower parts of the press stud on from both sides. Press the parts together with the VARIO pliers or the Prym tripod; sizes 8, 10 and 12 mm can be fitted this way. Try one out on a scrap of fabric first to check that the stud holds firmly.

What are the press studs designed for?

The jersey press stud is made for thinner, stretchy fabrics. For thick, heavy materials, other types of press stud are better suited.
