Prym Schmal-Elastic – narrow elastic for threading through tight casings

Prym Schmal-Elastic (art. no. 910360) is a braided elastic that you thread through narrow casings, for example on fine underwear. At just 3.5 mm wide, it passes through where wider elastic will no longer fit. It combines stretch with stability.

The elastic is white with an orange zigzag pattern. It is washable up to 95 °C, carries the "tested for harmful substances" textile label and is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. You get 5 m on one card.

Threading the elastic

Attach a safety pin to the end of the elastic and push it through the casing. Hold the other end firmly so that it does not disappear into the casing. Do not cut the elastic too short: you need a little extra at the ends to overlap and sew. Stretch the elastic slightly as you thread it, because braided elastic becomes narrower when stretched and is easier to guide through narrow casings.
