Prym white glass-head pins – iron-safe for pinning fabric
You use the Prym glass-head pins in white (48 × 0.80 mm, 30 g) to hold fabric in place when sewing, dressmaking and patchwork. The shaft is made of steel and is rust-protected. The fine point glides easily through fabric.
The white glass head is heat-resistant and iron-safe. So you can leave the pins in the fabric while ironing without the head melting. The pale head is easy to see on most fabrics, so you can quickly find the pins again as you work.
How to pin correctly
Insert the pins at right angles to the seam line, with the heads pointing towards the fabric edge. That way you can pull them out one by one before you sew over them, rather than sewing over them. You protect your sewing machine needle and the pin points if you remove the pins in good time. At 48 mm long, the pins also hold several layers of fabric, for example in patchwork or hems.
Which pin in the range?
The white pins are a little sturdier at 0.80 mm and are 48 mm long. The range also includes a shorter, finer version measuring 43 × 0.60 mm in yellow (20 g).
