The Tulip ETIMO RED crochet hook set contains eight aluminium crochet hooks from 1.8 to 5.0 mm, two tapestry needles, a tension ruler and a case. It gives you the usual hook sizes for fine to medium yarns, so you can crochet on the go as well as at home.

The soft rubber grips are non-slip and are designed to help prevent fatigue during longer crochet sessions. The red hooks have a matt, non-reflective finish. The red also stands out well against dark yarn, so you can see your stitches more easily. Tulip makes the set in Japan.

Which crochet hook for which yarn?

The fine hooks from 1.8 to 2.5 mm suit thin yarns, for example for filet crochet or small accessories. With 3.0 to 5.0 mm you can crochet medium-weight yarns, for example for amigurumi, hats or scarves. The hook size you need is given in your pattern. The graduation in steps of 0.2 to 0.5 mm helps you match your tension exactly without having to buy another hook.

Tapestry needles, ruler and case

With the two tapestry needles you can weave in ends and sew pieces together. No. 15 has the larger eye at 1.81 mm for thicker yarn, while No. 17 at 1.35 mm is finer. Use the ruler to measure your tension swatch. You will find everything in the dotted case, which keeps the hooks together when you take the set with you.
