Rayher 3-ply jute yarn – tear-resistant jute for macramé and decorations

Rayher jute yarn is a 3-ply yarn made of 100 % jute, approx. 3.5 mm in diameter. You can use it to knot macramé pieces, plant hangers and accessories, or to tie, wrap and trim decorations. According to Rayher, the yarn is extremely tear-resistant. The natural fibre is also suitable for maritime decorations and for covering cat scratching posts. Choose your colour from the options.

One reel has a length of approx. 280 m. This helps with planning quantities: larger projects such as wall hangings or several plant hangers can often be made with one reel, without having to change yarn halfway through.

Working with jute yarn

For macramé knots such as square knots or wrapped knots, the 3.5 mm yarn sits well in the hand and the knot pattern stays clearly visible. Jute is a natural fibre with a rough surface and the ends can untwist. Wrap a little adhesive tape around the cutting point before cutting, and the yarn will fray less.
