Lang Yarns Alpaca Soxx 6-fach – soft alpaca sock yarn

With Alpaca Soxx 6-fach from Lang Yarns you can knit cosy socks and soft favourites for chilly days. The yarn combines 70 % superfine alpaca with 30 % hard-wearing polyamide. It has a pleasantly soft handle and the strength that matters most when knitting socks.

Whether for warm socks, snug wrist warmers, scarves or hats, Alpaca Soxx 6-fach is versatile. With a length of approx. 390 metres per 150 g ball and the recommended needle size of 3–4 mm, it is also suitable for jumpers and cardigans with alpaca.

Easy care thanks to Easywash – for socks and more

The Easywash finish is based on an enzymatic treatment of the alpaca fibres. This means the yarn can be machine washed at up to 30 °C on the wool cycle. Use a suitable detergent for delicates without fabric softener and follow the care instructions on the ball band.

Our tip: Knit a tension swatch before you start and wash it according to the care instructions. This helps you plan the fit better. For socks, aim for an even, fairly firm fabric and adjust the needle size to suit your own knitting style.
