Prym Love embroidery starter set – basic tools for beginners

The Prym Love embroidery starter set (art. no. 651224) contains the basic tools for embroidery in a plastic box with two levels. It is intended for beginners who want to get started without having to hunt for supplies, and it also makes a good gift.

Fabric and embroidery thread are not included; choose them to suit your design. The thread card supplied is empty: you wind the threads you are currently using onto it and keep them sorted in the box.

Getting started

Transfer your design to the fabric with the aqua trick marker and stretch the fabric taut in the embroidery hoop. It should lie flat without distorting the weave. At Ø 10 cm, the hoop suits smaller designs and practice pieces. Larger designs are embroidered in sections, moving the hoop as you go. The leaflet takes you step by step through four standard stitches, so you can practise without any previous experience. Test the marker on a corner of your fabric first to check that the lines can be removed with water. The needle threader helps when several strands of embroidery thread need to go through the eye of the needle. The scissors are for cutting threads cleanly, and the pin cushion keeps the needles within reach.
