YKK VISLON 50 cm Zip – Lightweight, Open-End, with Plastic Teeth

The 50 cm YKK VISLON zip is a 1-way open-end zip with 1 slider, for example for jackets, sportswear such as ski suits, and motorcycle clothing. The plastic teeth are injection-moulded onto the tape. This makes it much lighter than a metal zip of the same length, yet it remains sturdy.

Tape and teeth are colour-matched, so the zip looks discreet in the jacket. Choose your colour from the options.

Open-end and lightweight: using it

An open-end zip opens completely, and the two halves separate at the bottom. You need this for jackets that open fully at the front. Before buying, measure the length of the opening the zip is going into. Pin or clip both sides of the tape in place before sewing them on, so the sides do not shift against each other. Do not iron directly on the teeth, as plastic can distort when heated.
