Prym Mini Pattern Weights – hold patterns and fabric securely in place

Prym Mini pattern weights (art. no. 611384) keep sewing patterns and fabric where they are while you cut, even on a cutting mat. The pack contains four blue bags, each 30 mm in diameter, filled with metal beads. According to Prym, they also hold thin pattern paper and fine fabrics firmly in position.

According to Prym, the soft surface is gentle on the fabric and leaves no pressure marks. This helps with materials where pins would leave visible holes, such as oilcloth or faux leather.

Using the weights

Lay the fabric out flat and place the pattern piece on top. Spread the weights around the corners and along the edges, as close to the cutting line as possible, but so that your scissors or rotary cutter do not run over them. As you keep cutting, simply move the weights along. If your pattern still slips, use more weights for large pieces than for small ones.
